Hey this is Derek with Softrim. We’re here in the dry room looking at some product that’s about to go through Softrim, and we’re going to show you how brittle the leaves need to be to get a consistent and good output out of Softrim.
Here, if we take a look at this product- I run my finger up and down these leaves they just crumble right off. That is a perfect example for what we want for Softrim. Now, I’m going to take my scissors cut off a bud. Here, we have some Softrim sample mats that are provided to you prior to your on-site demo. What we’re going to do is take both belts, not put a ton of pressure on there, and rub it back and forth.
This will imitate the actual Soft Trim machine and after a couple of seconds- we have a trimmed bud.
Now, this is the perfect example of the leaves just breaking right off.
Now, if we go further back into the dry room, you see this product where the leaves are a little bit greener, and it looks a little bit fresher. I’ll run my finger up and down these buds, and the leaves are more flexing compared to breaking. We’re going to cut one of these buds off take it to our Softrim mats and do the exact same thing we did with the last bud. With the leaves being softer- you can see the leaves are just bending and not breaking.
This is an example of a product that needs a little bit more time in the dry room.
Now, we’re going to take this stock straight to the Softrim machine. We’re going to show you what the ultimate product looks like with buds that are ideal.
